My personal opinion is that a person with Parkinson's needs to keep busy. I have found continuing employment in a supportive environment to be almost "therapeutic"... murray ...

Learning to Live With Parkinson's Disease - Many people believe a Parkinsonís diagnosis means they will have to give up driving, traveling and working. This isnít necessarily true. Each case of Parkinsonís is different and the disease follows a unique course in every individual. Some Parkinsonís patients do eventually end up relying on others to feed and bathe them, but many others donít.

Stay Active

Although driving isnít safe in the advanced stages of Parkinsonís, patients with milder symptoms who can control their impaired motor abilities can continue driving. As for work, Weiner and Shulman say that if a person enjoys what they do and are still able to perform their job, there is no reason they shouldnít continue working.
